About
Alternative Roots Farm is a certified organic family farm and orchard offering diversified produce through Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Shares, farmers’ market and direct sales. ARF organic apples are available through direct sales, Apple Shares and wholesale.
The farm sits on 5 lovely acres in rural Madelia, Brown County–the land supports organic vegetables and orchard, deep winter greenhouse growing winter greens, a native prairie planting, pasture for our heritage hogs and laying hens.
We specialize in heirloom and organic apples, heirloom tomatoes and garlic. We also grow fall and storage crops and winter greens. We offer fall market sales in New Ulm (Aug.-Oct.), Fall CSA and Winter CSA.
A.R.F. has been certified organic since August 6th, 2014.
